This time I wanna share my experience in Concert Photography.

Concert Photography is one of the easiest and hardest type because you need to be alert all the time. Concert is heaven for music lovers. This type of photography can be done by anyone but if you are a music lover, you will do it with more passion. In concert Photography, the positive you get is the light with keep on changing. Negative point is less amount of light, to compensate this you need to increase the ISO value up to the level you get a sharp and low grain picture. I gonna tell you some of the points you that should be taken care of :
1. Be at the venue about half hour before show starts. You must be comfortable with venue and positions of different instruments out there.
2. Try to wear black shirt/t-shirt as it would not distract musicians.
3. Ask performers at the beginning as musicians should feel normal if you take shots which can distract them.
4. Camera setting should be high in ISO: around 800-1600 depend on the light conditions, Shutter speed :
around 1/80-1/125,Aperture: f/3.5-5.6.
5. You can also try Shutter priority/Av modes which need you to set aperture or f stop for camera and it will set shutter speed according to the light condition.
6. Try to get hands on zoom lens at-least 200mm length which gives you total focal length of at least 350mm.
7. Try (if possible) to carry 50mm f/1.8 which is a very fast lens and help you to decrease ISO which ultimately increase the quality of a picture.
8. Check for other photographers work to get different angle but don't try to copy them, use your creativity.
9. Try to get some SILHOUETTE shots like I take one :
10.DON'T use tripod.
